Snapshots from Mongolia
Mission to Heal embarked on yet another mission to Mongolia for the last week in July and the first week of August. Dr. G and his volunteers spent this time visiting different cities in Mongolia to treat patients via The Mongolian Railway. Perhaps the most lasting impact, however, was on the volunteers and local medical community. They engaged in numerous training sessions to share knowledge of surgery basics, best practices, and the nuances of more complicated operations.
This trip was particular as the M2H team was also joined by the “Surgery on the 6th Ring of Saturn” film crew. They captured photos and video of the entire trip in preparation for the feature-length documentary film yet to come.
