Quite a bit and below are a few:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; The priceless opportunity to work with experienced health specialists and the ability to subjugate myself and learn a lot from them;<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; A much-improved knowledge of the health infrastructure in Ghana;<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; In-depth understanding of the logistical arrangements required for missions of this magnitude;<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Exposure to basic surgical procedures;<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Experience working in a linguistically and culturally diverse environment;<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Real experience with working graciously and respectfully with patients, and serving people from different backgrounds, with diverse attitudes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The whole experience for me was moving. Not only do I think M2H is taking a lot of people out pain, but also turning the lives of families around.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/missiontoheal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/72b214b011c94d38927f94b7e94680b1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1137 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/missiontoheal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/72b214b011c94d38927f94b7e94680b1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/missiontoheal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/72b214b011c94d38927f94b7e94680b1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/missiontoheal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/72b214b011c94d38927f94b7e94680b1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/missiontoheal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/72b214b011c94d38927f94b7e94680b1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/missiontoheal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/72b214b011c94d38927f94b7e94680b1-440x330.jpg 440w, https:\/\/missiontoheal.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/72b214b011c94d38927f94b7e94680b1.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Though there were challenges from the word go, the collateral beauty of the Mission in Ghana, which encapsulates all the little and big efforts made by the entire team in and out of the operating room is what I will fondly remember and share.<\/p>\n<p>I would like to sincerely thank the M2H Team for the incredible opportunity to be part of this, with particular acknowledgement for the massive and generous support of Dr. Glenn, in making this experience memorable and interesting.<\/p>\n<p>In the words of H. Jackson Jr., \u2018the best preparation for tomorrow is doing our best today\u2019. I hope it can be said that we did our best to serve the people of Ghana.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Looking forward, I believe that this experience will serve me well both professionally and as a global citizen.
